Third demonstration of McLain's new sales tax analysis service tomorrow at 1:30 pm

Published: Tue, 05/24/22

Our new tool includes comparisons of all local governments (Cities, Counties, MTAs and all Special Districts) back to 1990.

We will delve into your historical trends and show all of the turning points leading up to May 2022, which was the newest turning point for 75% of the entities in Texas.

After slicing and dicing, we will show population-driven forecasts of sales taxes through 2050 based on historical per-capita values adjusted for inflation.

Separately, we give you the ability to select an inflation level to see the impact into the future.

No black-box algorithms. Every number can be verified by hand calculation. This includes an ongoing re-forecast of FYE sales taxes and monthly forecasts for the upcoming year.

Lastly, we have also included every active and inactive sales tax permits for the entire state of Texas that provides a framework for you to do some high-level auditing on your own.

And our model is growing. We will also show you every Hotel/Motel Tax Revenue across the state with revenue per room capacity as an interesting metric.

We also have the same kind of information for Mixed Beverage Taxes in our model.

After the demonstration, we will give you the Login and Password to use the model yourself.

This new service will be free to our confidential clients.

For everyone else, it will be free until October 1, 2022 when it will become fee-based.

Testing the model until then will not obligate you to continue after October 1. I'm in my 50th year of being in local government as an employee and consultant, so most of you know my nature is to help and prove value rather than a hard sell!

I will send you our Zoom link at 1:00 pm tomorrow to be ready to go promptly at 1:30 pm.

We are so excited to show you our new service and know you will find this useful to you.

Many thanks!

Lewis & Kenneth
