The Frisco City Council commemorated the evening with a proclamation and reception recognizing the over 30 years Purefoy has given the city, working to develop a vision for Frisco as it grew into what it is today.
Purefoy's grandchildren led the room in pledges of allegiance, and the city presented a video highlighting his extensive legacy with Frisco. Current and former mayors and City Council members spoke to Purefoy's impact before the community gathered for a reception in his honor.
