A number of discussion items were postponed by mayor pro-temp Vidal Rodriguez and members of the council due to the abrupt and surprising departure of interim city manager Samuel Keith Selman during the city council meeting. 

Selman returned to the meeting approximately two hours later during the public hearing portion of the meeting. However, the departures  out of the chamber of councilmembers, the mayor and the city manager were noted and brought up during a public hearing.
