Plano police investigating the scene after a shootout involving an off-duty officer at a 7-Eleven at 14th Street and Shiloh Road, May 3, 2022. About 4:30 p.m., a man inside the convenience store got into an argument with a clerk. He then went outside to get a handgun from his car, said Officer Jerry Minton, a police spokesman. Minton said an off-duty officer was inside the store and saw the man grab a gun. No one was injured in the shooting, but Minton said there was “was quite a bit of rounds” that went out across the street (hitting a Shell food mart/gas station), resulting in a large crime scene.
