GRA News Update: WEEK-N Review

Published: Sat, 09/10/22

After a week of scanning and distributing your articles, we wanted to pause and reflect on how our first week went.  Please take a moment to look over the following thoughts and give us some feedback.
Part of our fun (and analysis) is to see which articles get the most attention. We can see stats on what was opened and when.  We can also use these data to continually refine what we push out to you.
One thing we learned from Lewis is that many articles get posted in the late afternoon, due to reporters' deadlines.   So, you may have noticed that we are pushing out our large batch late at night.  This is intentional in order to have your news ready for you first thing over your morning coffee or tea.  Then we will trickle out a few during that day that come to our attention.
At first, we noticed that many of you were opening them immediately upon broadcast, (like 11pm).  Then we noticed most of you falling into a pattern of waiting until 5-8am as we suspected.
We want to emphasize that these are mostly the same day's news. So you are as up to speed as we can get.  Our goal remains to be as timely as possible for things that interest you.
The other thing you might notice is our choice of articles.  We have intentionally avoided a lot of the political diatribe. It's getting into election season and the news is going wild - we're sitting out unless is appears to directly affect our business.  Also, we have also intentionally avoided basic budget updates and police blotter news.  We also try to avoid repetitive coverage of the same topic.  With so many juicy articles at our disposal, we try to focus on those that will help in the management of your operation and workforce.
The sweet spot of our distribution appears to be about 20 articles in our batch. With a few more scattered about the day.  We have a few that we find of interest that might be used on 'slow news days' or weekends.
We hope that this approach is meeting a good balance and providing you value in daily reading.  We'd appreciate your feedback after this first week so we can hone anything early in the cycle.  You can send your thoughts to GRA-Articles@outlook.com.
Thanks so much for your support.
