DART police job positions open with multi-thousand dollar signing bonus

DALLAS — The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Police Department is offering up to $5,000 in bonuses for multiple job openings.

DART is looking for employees to fill the following roles:

The Fare Enforcement role comes with a $2,000 hiring bonus and the police officer role offers $5,000.

Bonuses for each job will be paid in two installments. The first half in the first paycheck after you're hired, and the other half will be paid after you finish field training.

According to the DART Police Job Listings, the annual salary for a police officer range between $70,000-$103,421, depending on their prior experience. Salaries for the other jobs will depend on the candidate's previous experience and education.

The Apprentice Police Telecommunicator role is only open for people that are not certified communicators under the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE). Applicants that are TCOLE-certified are asked to apply for the Telecommunicator position.

As of Aug. 11, the Camera Monitor was listed to be open until Aug. 15. Those for Police Officer, Fare Enforcement Officer and Telecommunications are open until Aug. 22.
