Rhome: City leader appointed

The Rhome City Council appointed a city administrator at their meeting Thursday. Council members unanimously appointed Amanda DeGan to lead the city. They also empowered interim City Administrator Eric Debus to negotiate DeGan’s contract. Once negotiations are complete, the council will approve the contract. Debus said he expects the council will decide on the contract Dec. 8.
