Construction is starting on the next phase of the $1 billion Texas Live development in Arlington.
The mixed-use project that’s next to the Rangers’ Globe Life Field and Choctaw Stadium is part of Arlington’s growing entertainment district.
Ground is being broken now for One Rangers Way, a 300-unit luxury rental project being built by Maryland-based developer The Cordish Cos. and the Rangers.
Located south of Interstate 30, the five-story apartment and retail building will cost over $70 million and is scheduled to open in 2024, according to planning documents filed with the state. Maryland-based architect Hord Coplan Macht designed the project.
It’s the first new residential component of the Texas Live development. The project is planned to include 200,000 square feet of restaurants, retail and entertainment venues, meeting and convention space, and an outdoor event pavilion.
The Live by Loews hotel was added in 2019. The $550 million Loews Arlington Hotel & Convention Center with 888 rooms will open in 2024.
Texas Live also includes the Spark Coworking center in the former Texas Rangers office space at Choctaw Stadium.
