There was a special session of the Vernon City Commission last Tuesday evening at the Vernon City Hall.
Vernon City Mayor Pam Dunson Gosline opened the meeting by declaring a quorum. After an Invocation led by City Commissioner Early Williams III and the pledge to the flags, the commissioners entered a short executive session.
Returning to regular session, Commissioners Appointed Sage Seal of Childress to the position of City Attorney.
In the only other item on the special agenda, action to approve a resolution 1088 authorizing application for the Bullet resistant Grant Shield Program. After a brief presentation by Vernon Police Chief Wayne Hodges, Commissioners unanimously approved the resolution.
The meeting then adjourned
