Perry, who posted a $1,000 bond, was released the same day of his arrest on Wednesday, December 28, court records show.

This is the second time Perry has been booked into the county jail for the incident. The first time was for a warrant issued after-the-fact for 'failure to stop and give information' after Perry allegedly hit a Honda Civic at a stoplight in his Jeep Wrangler before continuing home.

A DWI case against Perry was filed earlier this month as the Bexar County District Attorney's office examined whether it would press charges or not

Body camera footage released the same week of the incident showed a disheveled Perry on the ground in his backyard, slurring his words and bleeding from a laceration on his head. In the video, Perry's Jeep is seen parked against the garage and he appears to have soiled himself. When asked about the events leading up to that point, he repeatedly told the responding officer, "I had a good time."

Perry, whose Jeep was followed to his home by a witness to the accident, was not given a sobriety test or taken into custody the night of the incident.

When the alleged hit-and-run came to light, Mayor Ron Nirenberg posted to social media that the councilmember should resign if the accounts of the incident were true. However, a watered down vote of no confidence in Perry was passed unanimously by City Council November 14, with a call for his resignation removed from the initial draft of the vote.

pretrial conference is planned for January 24 in the failure to stop case, while the DWI case has an arraignment set for January 30, according to county court documents.
