It’s only May, but already League City officials are working on the fiscal year 2023-24 budget, which will begin Oct. 1.

The big picture

According to a city news release, city departments this month are presenting estimates of their proposed budgets to the Budget Office and City Manager John Baumgartner for review. Later this summer, the city will present a total proposed budget document to League City City Council to review and tweak.

City staff and council will review and discuss the budget in a series of public workshops where they will be able to increase, decrease or otherwise alter items in the budget. Learn more
