Anali Alanis Leaving Job to Take Some Personal Time to Reflect on Her Future

Pharr interim City Manager Anali Alanis surprised a lot of people Monday when she told the mayor and city commission that she would be leaving her job effective July 1.

“Yes, I am leaving the City of Pharr as its interim city manager, but I am leaving it with this positive feeling.”According to Alanis, she and the city are parting ways on good terms.“I want to take some time off to be with my family … and reflect on my future.”

Alanis assumed the position last September after then-interim CM Ed Wylie was moved to deputy city manager.
