H-E-B has agreed to pay $75,000 over three years to sponsor a North Texas high school football stadium.
The movement was proposed at the district’s board meeting in May.
In exchange for payment, the popular grocery store chain will have grocer exclusivity as far as advertising at AISD stadium.
There will also be a lot more H-E-B signage around the stadium, including on the main scoreboard, throughout the concourses and on the sidelines.
The San Antonio-based grocery chain will also have sponsored areas inside and outside of the stadium for Allen High School varsity football games and varsity football playoff games that are hosted by the stadium.
Allen will also advertise H-E-B in its football program, SOAR magazine and throughout football games, including the lineups, replays and videos pre and post game on the video board.
The store will also get four tickets to each Allen High School home varsity football game.
The deal went into effect on May 1 and will end on April 30, 2026.
It comes right before the completion of construction on a new H-E-B location, which is just a six-minute walk from school’s stadium.
The $20 million store is scheduled to be completed on Aug. 8. It will include a True Texas BBQ, a full service H-E-B Pharmacy and a Texas Backyard department, which will have outdoor essentials.
H-E-B also has locations in the works in far north Fort Worth, Mansfield and far south Fort Worth.
