"The Texas star on Carnival Jubilee’s bow is a symbol of our commitment to the Port of Galveston," Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line said in the press release.
"As the first cruise line to sail year-round from Galveston, we have a long history with the community, and our next new ship is our latest investment in support of the local economy’s impressive growth while delivering innovative experiences for our guests," she added.
Carnival Jubilee will begin sailing from Galveston with sea trials being in November, the release said, and will offer seven-day Western Caribbean cruise vacations with stops in Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico, as well as Mahogany Bay Isla Roatan and Honduras.
Carnival Jubilee offers its latest sea roller coaster design on board called BOLT, extensive dining with a featured Emeril's restaurant, cocktail bars and lots of entertainment with no shortages of things to do.
