Once completed, the 2,000-acre park will be one of the largest planned industrial parks in the country with about 735 acres of land devoted for industrial use, according to the release. AXIS Logistics Park will act as a regional distribution hub for many retailers, suppliers, and manufacturers, said Clayton Kendall, executive vice president of Scarborough
Lane Development, in the release.
The master planned development will be situated between some of the largest and fastest growing cities in Texas — Austin, San Antonio, and Houston. The location will provide easy access to major highways Loop 110, IH-35, and SH-130, according to the release. There will also be several access points for business shipping needs with the use of Union Pacific Railway, BNSF Railway, and the San Marcos Regional Airport.

Companies seeking space in the new park will be part of the more than 50 Fortune 500 companies, such as Tesla and Samsung, located in Texas. AXIS Logistics Park will also add to the growing San Antonio-Austin area, which is currently first in job creation and ranks second in workforce size, by creating new jobs, according to the release.
“We are excited to partner with the City of San Marcos and Caldwell County to ultimately bring jobs to the region that will have a major economic impact for the community,” Kendall told MySA.
