The city of Celina announced Friday that its city manager has resigned.
A statement released by the city just after 11:30 a.m. May 26 stated that Celina City Manager Jason Laumer had tendered his resignation to Celina Mayor Ryan Tubbs and the Celina City Council. Laumer was named city manager in 2017.
“The City Council and I are grateful for Mr. Laumer’s years of service and wish him the best in his future endeavors,” Tubbs said in a statement released by the city of Celina. “We also appreciate the diligence of the city’s staff as we navigate this transition. We will continue the critical work before us as we bring first-class amenities to our residents and businesses while honoring the storied heritage of this community.”
According to the announcement, the Celina City Council will convene June 13 to accept and approve Laumer's resignation, discuss the search for his successor and appoint an interim city manager.
