EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Cary Westin will take over as Interim City Manager Thursday.

Westin was appointed to the temporary position earlier this year after city council voted to terminate current City Manager Tommy Gonzalez's contract.

Westin has served as Senior Deputy City Manager of Economic Development & Tourism and Senior Operations Officer for the city of El Paso. He began working for the city in 2014.
