Joseph Resendez appointed as Lockhart's new Assistant City Manager

LOCKHART, Texas — Joseph Resendez was named the new Assistant City Manager of Lockhart, and he will begin his new position on July 17.

According to a release from the City, Resendez will assist City Manager Steve Lewis in the coordination and implementation of City Council goals, development issues, project management and city management research needs.

“I am honored to join such a historical community and distinguished organization in Lockhart,” Resendez said. “I look forward to working with City Officials and Staff to provide guidance and support to a dynamic community.”

Resendez served most recently as the City of Bartlett’s City Administrator and City Secretary.

His initiatives included operationally focused technology upgrades, values-based organizational development, increasing transparency and citizen engagement and facilitating a developing $1.9 million Capital Improvement Program.
