Southlake Community Services Director Chris Tribble is retiring at the end of September after 17 years of service.
The big picture
He served as the department’s deputy director for three years before becoming director. Tribble has led the expansion of Southlake’s parks system, including the development of Legends Hall and Champions Club at The Marq.
He held roles with the cities of Mesquite, Hurst and the Community Association of The Woodlands prior to coming to Southlake.
What’s next
Tribble’s last day is Sept. 30. Deputy Director David Miller will serve as interim director beginning Oct. 1.
Quote of note
“[Tribble] cares about our [citizens] deeply, especially the kids who participate in programs, and he has cultivated a caring team where each member understands the critical role the department plays in ensuring a great quality of life for our residents,” City Manager Shana Yelverton said in a news release. “Because of his work, Southlake residents have numerous opportunities for lifelong memories.”
