Harlingen’s Next Assistant City Manager Is Named

Harlingen has chosen its new assistant city manager from its own ranks. Oscar Garcia has been tapped to take over as assistant city manager after serving as the city’s public works director.

Garcia has more than a quarter-century of experience in municipal and county government. He succeeds former Assistant City Manager Craig Cook, who resigned earlier this year.
