Trophy Club remains without a town manager, and Trophy Town Club Council is scheduled to consider the position during an executive session at its meeting Oct. 9.
The background
Zooming in
Council announced at a special Aug. 31 meeting that a contingent offer had been made to a candidate for town manager, and negotiations for a contract and final approval would follow, but it did not release any additional information, including the candidate’s name. On Sept. 26, Jill Lind, director of communications and marketing for the town of Trophy Club, said in an email Sept. 26 she had no news to share at that point about the town manager situation.
Also of note
Council at the Oct. 9 meeting also will consider action on Phase 2 of the pool project, which will add slides and create a party room that can be used for rentals all year. In November 2022, council approved the project in two phases with the first phase having replaced the pumps, fixed a leak in the pool, updated the lockers, and made improvements in the office and concession room areas, according to a City Council memo.
Funding for this project was allocated as part of the 2021 certificates of obligation bonds issued to the town. The first face funding was nearly $1.2 million, and the second phase is $2.7 million. The second phase also includes miscellaneous site improvements, according to town information.
