GEORGETOWN, Texas — The Georgetown City Council adopted a Future Mobility Plan this week.
The plan was approved on Tuesday, and it indicates where new roads, sidewalks, and multi-use paths will be needed to serve future developments in the city.
Georgetown has seen extreme population growth since 2015 and was ranked as the fastest-growing city by the US Census Bureau in 2022 and 2023.
This population spike led to changes in traffic patterns as well as new employment centers, destinations, and residential developments.
The Future Mobility Plan includes a prioritized project list that recommends specific intersection improvements and traffic signal improvements.
