Texas is the second largest state in the country so it shouldn't be hard to find something fun to do, right? If you thought life would be one big party in the Lone Star state- you'd only be a little right!

If you're looking for fun and adventure in the coming new year, WalletHub compiled a list of the "Most Fun Cities in America", and you'll be surprised to find out that only one Texas city made it to the top ten. However, I don't think you'll be surprised to find out which Texas city that is.

According to WalletHub, Austin, Texas comes in at number 7 on the list of Most Fun Cities in America.

We all know that Austin is a hub for fun, so it isn't much of a surprise. In order to determine the most fun cities, WalletHub analyzed data comparing 180 cities around the U.S. across 65 key metrics, including the number of fitness centers (weird!) per capita, the cost of going to the movies, the average opening hours of area breweries, diversity of restaurants, and number of attractions.

All these metrics fell into three dimensions: entertainment and recreation, nightlife and parties, and costs.

• Houston which came in at number 19.
• San Antonio came in at number 25
• Dallas came in at number 31
• Fort Worth came in at number 43

And for those of us in the Sun City, we made the list too, kind of. El Paso came in at number 59!
