Search finds new city manager

Murphy has a new city manager. Aretha Adams, the city manager in Heath since May 2019, was chosen from 40 applicants to succeed Mike Castro, who resigned in August.

“She was really a fantastic fit,” Mayor Scott Bradley said after the Murphy City Council voted unanimously to hire her at a special meeting Tuesday, Dec. 12. “She has a community-first focus, which is what we were looking for, and has strong leadership skills.”
