No one showed up for some warm air at a warming center on Christmas night at a warming center in Killeen, officials said.
It was the second time no one had showed up since the City of Killeen formed a partnership with Liberty Christian Center on Westcliff Road to host a warming center on freezing nights.
In a statement Tuesday from Killeen spokeswoman Janell Ford, she said there were no community members who showed up on Monday, so it closed at 11:30 p.m.
The temperature dipped to about 27 degrees between Monday night and Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Overnight Wednesday, the temperature is expected to be 34, Thursday’s forecast calls for a low temperature of 31 and the low on Friday is expected to be 32.
