A man found himself in handcuffs Thursday after allegedly threatening to “blow” the head off of San Antonio Police Chief William McManus.
Christobal Ramirez, 61, was booked into the Bexar County jail and charged with making a terroristic threat against a peace officer. His bail has been set at $150,000.
According to an arrest affidavit, Ramirez is known to call a specific police officer daily.
On Wednesday, Ramirez left the officer a voicemail on his city phone telling McManus to “close down your little, whatever you all have going on” and stated that San Antonio Police Department was “wasting taxpayer’s money.”

“Unbelievable SAPD, you are a bunch of jack*****,” Ramirez said.
Ramirez said he knew the designated location where McManus feeds stray cats downtown on a routine basis, according to the affidavit.
“I think I’ll blow his head off today, bye,” Ramirez is accused of saying.
He made generalized statements in the past about knowing where McManus feeds cats, according to the affidavit.
Bexar County court records show Ramirez with a lengthy criminal history dating back to 1983, including three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, four counts of unauthorized usage of a vehicle, two counts of criminal mischief, evading arrest and felony possession of a weapon.
