Details announced for fallen APD officer's funeral service
Officer Pastore’s final patrol will begin at 8 a.m. on Friday from Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home at 5416 Parkcrest Dr.
AUSTIN, Texas — The details have been released for the funeral services for Austin police officer Jorge Pastore, who was shot and killed during a SWAT callout on Saturday morning.
A celebration of life will take place for Pastore on Friday, Nov. 17.
Officer Pastore’s final patrol will begin at 8 a.m. from Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home at 5416 Parkcrest Dr., according to the Austin Police Department Honor Guard.
The procession will make its way to the Germania Insurance Amphitheater at the Circuit of the Americas via the following route:
- Leave the funeral home heading northbound on MoPac Expressway
- Northbound MoPac to Highway 183
- Highway 183 to Interstate 35 southbound
- I-35 southbound to Eighth Street exit (Main HQ)
- Main HQ to East Sixth Street
- East Sixth Street to Congress Avenue
- Congress Avenue to Texas State Capitol
- Texas State Capitol to Circuit of the Americas
Visitation will take place at COTA from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., with the funeral service from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Police honors will happen immediately following the service in the COTA parking lot.
