Liberty Hill, Texas, once a small town, is undergoing rapid growth, with a swell in its population from 3,646 in 2020 to more than 10,700 in 2023, based on census figures as reported by KVUE. Maintaining its allure, the town addresses the accompanying challenges related to infrastructure, water supply, and educational requisites as a result of this growth.
The city's new inclusions feature the Butler Farms development, a neighborhood sprawled over 366 acres established by Hutto-based MA Partners.
With 227 houses already built or being constructed, Butler Farms is projected to encompass just above 2,000 homes when completed as reported by The Liberty Hill Independent.
However, the limitations of water and wastewater systems currently limit the number of houses that can be erected in Butler Farms to merely 279 until the completion of necessary wastewater projects, City planner Jerry Millard said as per The Liberty Hill Independent news.
In terms of education, the Liberty Hill Independent School District (ISD) experienced hearty growth too.
Megan Parsons, the school board president, witnessed the rise in student population from approximately 4,500 at the start of her tenure five years ago to almost 9,000 today, Parsons revealed as per KVUE report. To cater to this ballooning student population, the district engaged in infrastructural expansions, added schools, and has plans to construct more learning establishments.
Developments, such as Butler Farms, are strategically laying the groundwork for the rapid expansion of the Liberty Hill ISD. MA Partners' donation of land for the district's eighth elementary school is slated for 2023 end-of-year completion as reported by The Liberty Hill Independent.
