GAF Energy opened a solar roofing manufacturing center in Georgetown in November.
The 450,000-square-foot facility will produce Timberline Solar shingles and is expected to be fully operational by the end of the year. The company will employ more than 250 people in Georgetown and has hired over 75 people this year. Over the next 10 years, GAF Energy will invest more than $100 million into the project.
GAF Energy opened in its first manufacturing facility in San Jose, California, in 2021.
