Before the official meet and greet, one candidate has withdrawn from consideration to be Beaumont's next police chief.
Jeff Hadley announced his resignation earlier this week, stating that he needed to
be with his family, according to Beaumont spokesperson Tracy Kennick.
“It is with regret that I withdraw my consideration for Beaumont. This is unavoidable as a serious issue arose with my son (18) in which, I must be here. I apologize to you, Affion and Beaumont Leadership and wish them the best in picking their new Chief," he said.
This news comes before a community meet-and-greet scheduled for Wednesday night.
Hadley has over 30 years of experience in law enforcement working in Cape Coral, Florida; Ft. Wayne, Indiana; Kalamazoo, Michigan; and Savannah, Georgia.
