City of Port Arthur is happy with Interim Fire Chief

PORT ARTHUR — The 'musical chairs' may end in the Port Arthur Fire Chief's office. The last we heard, Interim Chief Robert Havens had become sick, and the city named Captain Antonio Mitchell as acting chief.

The changes came after Greg Benson was fired back in April.

We've learned Robert Havens is back as Interim Chief at the Port Arthur Fire Department.

We've not been told what health issues impacted Havens a few months ago.

Mayor Thurman Bartie says as of right now the city isn't searching for a replacement.
