Littlefield City Manager, Mitch Grant, made an
announcement Wednesday morning that he has made the decision to retire at the beginning of next year. The announcement came surrounded by Directors and staff.
“Over the past eight years, Mitch has been an instrumental leader, working tirelessly to improve the quality of life, infrastructure, financial health, and overall well-being of our community,” Mayor Eric Turpen said. “His commitment and leadership have been evident in every
project and initiative he has undertaken.”
He added, “As Mayor, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with Mitch, and it’s difficult to express in words how grateful I am for his dedication. His impact on this city will be felt for years to come, and while we are saddened by the news of his retirement, we are deeply thankful for all he has done.”
Turpen also stated, “We
also extend our best wishes to Mitch and his wife Joy as they embark on this new chapter. Their contributions to our community have been profound, and we will forever be grateful for the time, energy, and care they have given us.”
Turpen stated that they will begin the search for a new City Manager, saying, “I’m optimistic about the future. Mitch has laid a strong foundation, and we look forward to finding a leader who will continue
his legacy of dedication and community engagement. We ask for the community’s support and prayers as we seek someone who will serve with the same humility and passion that Mitch has shown.”
