CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Sinton Police Department is under new leadership after Eric Blanchard stepped into the role of chief.
Blanchard was sworn in as the new chief of police by the Sinton mayor on Monday. He replaces Eugenio DeLeon, who actually presented Blanchard with the badge.
DeLeon then officially retired following 37-years of service in the community.
Blanchard announced he was leaving the Aransas Pass Police Department for this job last month.
